Lovely suede Froddo Barefoot winter ankle boots with wool lining and a tex membrane, in a beautiful cognac brown shade. The Extra Grip (thermo rubber) sole is even more flexible than the regular Froddo Barefoot sole. The shoes are easy to put on thanks to the zipper on the inner side.

• Inside the shoe (between the upper and lining materials) is a waterproof, breathable Froddo-TEX membrane. In practice, the membrane is a bag that extends all the way around the shoe and up to the top of the shaft, with taped seams. You can check the height of the bag's upper edge in the membrane pockets beside the tongue.
• Shoes with a waterproof membrane should only be cared for using products recommended for tex-membrane shoes. New shoes don't need pre-treatment, but can be protected with a dirt-repellent spray if desired.

💖 PLEASE NOTE THAT SHOES WITH A TEX MEMBRANE ARE NOT THE SAME AS RUBBER BOOTS! 💖 Shoes with a tex membrane treated with waterproofing spray keep water out very well up to a certain point. But once the shoes are completely soaked, even the “effectiveness” of the tex membrane between the upper and lining materials may no longer be enough. When rain is forecast, for puddle play, or for spending a long time outdoors in wet weather, it's best to wear reliably waterproof rubber boots.

Size 42 in this barefoot shoe model fit Maria's feet perfectly! The fit is so wide and the toe box follows the natural curve of the toes, so size 42 is more than enough for Maria. In non-barefoot shoes, Maria's size is usually 42.5-43, depending on the width of the shoe. In shoes that aren't barefoot shoes, the toe is usually more or less pointed, taking up space at the front, so Maria has to go up a size.
